In our Well-Being Assembly today, the children from 1st, 4th and 5th took the lead, showcasing various stations dedicated to mental and physical health. Each station offered interactive activities from meditation to nutritious snack preparation which demonstrated the many approaches to self care. Through these stations the children empower us / their peers with the tools to nurture our well-being daily.
Wellbeing is present when a person realises their potential, is resilient in dealing with the normal stresses of their life, takes care of their physical wellbeing and has a sense of purpose, connection and belonging to a wider community. It is a fluid way of being and needs nurturing throughout life.

Child centredness is enshrined in our Ethos here in the KSP. We promote positive wellbeing.

The teachers, Caitriona, Hazel, Nicola and Olwyn listened to and encouraged the children to direct and plan today’s assembly.

The assembly is by the children for children. The whole process of planning and organising the assembly was a very rewarding experience for all. Well done everyone!
