KSP invited Nore Valley Farm to help us to hatch chicks here in the school. They brought the incubator to the school on the 18th April. Over the following three weeks we all waited patiently for the chicks to hatch! There was a wonderful atmosphere of excitement and anticipation as we all kept a close eye on the eggs! Every class got to visit regularly and we learned lots about the development of the chicks in our classes. The first chick appeared on the 10th May and two more hatched over the next couple of days.
We named them Leo, Hendall (Jenner) and Blossom.
When the chicks were a week old they were taken to their new home in Nore Valley Farm on the 18th May.
